I have an intimate knowledge of local transportation systems, schools, businesses and recreation sites in the Northern Virginia metropolitan area. All my clients receive first-hand insight to the best this area has to offer! My unique work history in law enforcement makes me well-suited for working with both buyers and sellers of real estate. During my career in law enforcement, I was a member of an established negotiations team. That experience has translated into objective and efficient communication, under a vast array of circumstances. In my real estate career, I apply these same skills to every aspect of locating and purchasing your dream home or negotiating a price for the sale of your old residence. Dedication to my family, public service and to my clients is apparent. I grew up the son of a military officer and relocated to Northern Virginia in 1988 and still live here with my wife and children. This long duration in the DC Metropolitan region has informed my knowledge of the many transportation systems, schools, neighborhoods and entertainment options offered in this area. A rare work history as a homicide detective and as President of the Police union has given me an exceptional ability to navigate the home buying and selling process. My 28 years in law enforcement is reflected in my integrity and loyalty to clients. My intricate knowledge of negotiations is a benefit to anyone I work with. I strongly believe in supporting public service and the military and do so through the United Guardians’ Program.
Before moving to Old Town Alexandria, Virginia my life as the spouse of an Air Force Veteran has led my family all over the country. I completely understand the stress of moving and the importance of finding just the right home for your family. I pride myself on doing what I can to ensure my clients succeed in reaching their real estate goals.
Prior to becoming a Realtor, I had the privilege of working for 15 years in civil service for the military. This experience has prepared me for my career in real estate. I have a strong belief of service before self and giving back to my community.
My business is based almost entirely on referrals from satisfied clients, this allows me to spend my time and energy understanding and focusing on my clients needs. My goal is to make sure each client is prepared, and educated on the process so they can enjoy as stress free a transaction as possible. I am excited to be working with a great team that offers a complete concierge service because I know my client’s journey doesn’t end on closing day!
When I’m not working, you will find me strolling around Old Town exploring the history of the city and surrounding area or relaxing and traveling with my husband, children and pug puppy. Licensed in Virginia and Texas.

Team Transaction Coordinator
Katherine founded The Virtual Advantage in 2007 and merged with ScalableRES in 2019. She is the principal in our Transaction Coordination arm of the company and enjoys the complexity and day-to-day “management of chaos.”
Katherine graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and has been in the Real Estate Industry since 1999. She started as an office administrator, then held various Director of Operations positions before starting her own TC company. She is proud to have longevity within the business and is excited to see where this company goes. She said her goal is to “take over the TC world!” Despite being in the Real Estate business for 20+ years she says she still learns something new every day. Although the process is relatively the same, every transaction is different, and that’s what she loves about this industry.
When she is not managing a transaction Katherine can be found spending time with her husband, their two children and her dog. Her family is the most important thing, and this company and business allow her to spend more time with her kids. She hopes to become a foster parent some day and participate in more volunteer work in the coming year.
